I am Dr Ney Renau-Ferrer and I just get I got my Ph.D. in computer science at the "Université des Antilles et de la Guyane" in January 2011. where I am currently I was employed as Research and Teaching Assistant ("Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche", ATER). I am now Employed as an ATER at the University Rennes 2 and I am a member of the IMADOC team, IRISA laboratory.
My research handles the problem of the automatic analysis of on-line hand drawn sketches.( An on-line sketch being a drawing acquired by devices such as TablePC or graphic tablet ). An on-line sketch can be analyzed according to several points of view. As for off-line sketching, we can try to recognize the produced shape or to perform any other spacio-graphic analysis. However, on-line sketching allows other levels of analysis. Indeed, A drawing is not only a shape. It is also all the gestures which constitutes the drawing activity, as well as their planning. I call the analysis of this dimension of sketching : procedural analysis.
In fact, I try to develop tools allowing a multi level analysis, including both shape and behavior analysis.
